GenAI and other AI applications are NOT ONLY THE innovation path for almost all companies and organizations, but also extreme hungry for IT resources. It therefore produces a very large footprint – energy and water consumption, CO2 emissions – both in data centres and through terminal equipment.
The trend is increasing because the number of AI applications and thus the Need for computing power will increase inexorably in the future. The fact that space in data centers is becoming scarce and workstations and laptops are reaching their performance limits due to AI applications is an additional challenge.

Wolfram Nötzel

Heinrich Seeger
Heinrich Seeger arbeitet als IT-Fachjournalist und Medienberater in Hamburg. Er hat über 30 Jahre IT-journalistische Erfahrung, unter anderem als Gründungs-Chefredakteur des CIO Magazins. Er entwickelt und moderiert neben seiner journalistischen Arbeit Programme für Konferenzen und Kongresse in den Themenbereichen Enterprise IT und Mobile Development, darunter IT-Strategietage, Open Source Meets Business, droidcon und VDZ Tech Summit. Zudem gehört er als beratendes Mitglied dem IT Executive Club an, einer Community von IT-Entscheidern in der Metropolregion Hamburg.

Jörg Roskowetz
Jörg Roskowetz is Head of Blockchain Technology at AMD. He is responsible for defining and selling applications within the company’s business segment that are related to blockchain.
Jörg has been working at AMD since 2008 and is Director of Product Management Blockchain Technology in Germany. In his role, he helps AMD’s customers benefit from the advantages of innovative AMD technologies – in the computer (APU, CPU) as well as in the graphics segment (GPU).
Previously, Mr. Roskowetz served at Fujitsu Siemens Computers, where he held the position of Senior Project Leader. He took care of high-quality mobile solutions and developed the first mobile solutions with interchangeable graphics, which are based on AXIOM and RAID functionality.
Mr. Roskowetz is Vice Chairman of the Technical Committee for Product Neutral Tenders of Bitkom and is responsible for defining public offer guidelines for the procurement of PC client and server solutions in Germany.
